Ever since Behringer announced the RD-6 at NAMM, a clone of the cult-classic Roland TR-606 Dramatix analog drum machine, producers have been chomping at the bit wondering when it would finally arrive. We are pleased to say, the wait is over!

Behringer is making may of its analog recreations quite fun by offering them in an array of 10 colors. The RD-6 is available in black, red, blue, purple, silver, and yellow solid colors. It is also available in 90’s-era iMac-inspired translucent blue, orange, red and green.

In addition to all of the osounds of the famous TR-606, Behringer has included the sought-after clap sound from the Boss DR-110 drum machine, as well as distortion modeled after the Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal.

Some famous artists that used the original TR-606 in popular recording include Nine Inch Nails (on “Closer”), Aphex Twin, Orchestral Maneoevres in the Dark, and Massive Attack, who famously used it on several tracks on their groundbreaking 1994 album, Protection.
